One of the fundamental success factors in the counselling process is the quality of the therapeutic relationship between counsellor and client. This makes choosing the right counsellor very important and you may have questions to ask in order to make the right decision.

I also offer a free of charge 15 minute telephone consultation prior to the commencement of your counselling sessions, so you can be sure you are making the right choice before any commitment is made.

How many sessions will I need?
The length of each client's counselling journey is unique and very personal. In private practice, sessions are negotiable and not restricted — we go at whatever pace feels right for you.
What happens in the first session?
In our initial session we will go through the counselling contract together and sign it. This is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions and for us to begin getting to know each other in a relaxed, pressure-free environment.
How do I pay?
Payment should be made via bank transfer prior to the session.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance. If a cancellation is made with less than 48 hours' notice, full payment for the session will be required.
Is everything I say kept confidential?
Yes — everything discussed in our sessions is completely confidential. I work within the BACP ethical framework and your privacy is always my priority.
